Mallawi museum was established in 1963 to narrate the history of EL-Mania governorate, the museum houses the artifacts from nearby sites such as Tuna El-Gabal and Hermpolise.  

Mallawi museum had been damaged and looted on 2013, and after 3 years of closure the museum inaugurated to public in 2016, after it had been restored.  

The museum contains more than 1,000 objects, 503 of which are new pieces that were added after renovations. The artifacts display the daily live in ancient Egypt, industries, handcrafts, and culture of the site of El-Mnia.
